Two planes succumb to the pull of gravity, Ukraine air defense helped it get there faster. π

In the immortal words of Jean Luc Picard "I will not sacrifice theΒ Enterprise. We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They invade our space and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn, here and no further. This far, no further." This quote from First Contact has fit many recent events but I cannot think of one more fitting than the fight between Ukraine and Russia inly substitution of a few words and its spot on.

Sometimes with loud report. π

Ya but hows that Super Duper S-500? Or dod i miss it already getting hit?

I like Geography

3:20 Attack-M's we generally add letters that are not there. Like HMMWV we say Humvee or Hummer. ππ

Wow the hits keep coming, first William Spaniel now on the Anna.

A ceasefire just gives Putin breathing room. Preston Stewart has a poll on should both sides seek a ceasefire. As a coldwar kid, I basically ended my comment with "I guess Better Red than Dead still plays all these decades later." Basically appease the Soviets in meaning. Never again should be something Ukraine needs to get out there to the West at least some of our older generations will get that.

5:55 actually Elon needs the kerosene from Russia because it's how his rockets go and if he has to pay more his costs that he has us the US taxpayer subsidizing pay for.
5
Exactly, when Columbine happened America was shocked, 20 years of school shootings and we've become jaded to it unless it directly affects our state or community. And even then it's just thoughts and prayers no action.
3
Β @sherries7962Β Who'd have imagined the Cold War party would suddenly become Hanoi Jane with regards to Russia?
3
8:15 call it Twitter we dont want to give bargain basement Bond Villain Musk (Elliot Carver) any mention.
3
11:00 i could see the Italian...sort of my General Manager was of similar build as you and she has that blondish hair and shes Italian, ones I had worked for were raven but then they were all from southern Iraly and Sicily.
3
5:20 is the glaring truth of how much Russia or more to the point Putin and his friends LOVE CAPITALISM. As I said over a year ago Fossil fuel capitalism will keep Russia afloat longer than it should because of shady people who will buy it cheaply.
3
6:40 because it's better to appear incompetent than impotent, and that's world wide not just Russia that does that.
3
8:00 yes thats quite warm considering youre several degrees nirth latitude to me and its supposed to snow mid week before out eclipse. Its 10β° mid afternoon here in -5UTC.
3
9:00 No, you need to convey what that is like with missile warnings. The best example about half of Americans could understand is the Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1003 in Hi Lo mode for a tornado πͺοΈ warning, but this warning is without any idea where the storm is coming from, no radar to see what town its near, no dark ominous clouds to hint of what may come just that siren hours on end, day or night, at least until the power is taken out. People need to grasp the emotional toll that takes on everyone especially the children, how many have severe anxiety how relationships with soldiers and their families are fractured.
3
As an American Im beyond disappointed with Congress. They right aka Republicans only care about the southern boarder when they dont have the Presidency, when they do its a minor issue until election season to scare the easily scared of the possibility of non white people coming to the US. If Putin was a Muslim, then Republicans would fall over themselves to act.
2
First impression from fort minutes, you sound and appear a bit happier for today.
2
9:05 Understandable to be angry, all i can say is don't let Putin degrade your humanity. Some of those men could one day have influence back home with whats left if Russia or the other lands that will likely break away, what will they remember more, Putin sending them to fight a baseless war for land or that their "enemy" treated them better than their own homeland did? It is a gamble.
2
Thank you Anna for showing us your nearby forest. We definitely share similar ecosystems with our given latitudes, it definitely looks just like my area of NE Ohio, and areas of Pennsylvania before you get into the Appalachian hills. There are various groups that encourage hiking aside from the government ones like the Dept of Interior and the National Park Service. In my one hobby amateur radio they have Parks on the Air or POTA so people who are more inclined to be indoors head out in noted parks to activate it and make as many contacts as possible.
2
It is said that between Afghanistan and Chernobyl those were the death nails to the Soviet Union as we knew it. I follow Kyle Hill heade a trip a few minths prior to the war, and also is discourging the disater tourism by outsiders. Thunderf00t has concerns how nuclear is portrayed, while the handling let alone the design was terrible it unfortunately gave oxygen to abandoning nuclear energy elsewhere.
2
Long time subscriber, I can tell you had as good of a day as possible. I hope one day soon that can be a normal feeling for you and every Ukrainian. I just don't understand why my country doesn't provide more air defense, especially C-RAM's.
2
11:10 actually a little bit, try being a Kamal supporter in a red state, not quite the same but the intimidation and possible threats by unhinged radicalized Christian extremists is enough to deter too much outward opposition.
2
7:00 he's setting him up to be president, a close tie to NATO partners. I had a feeling something like this was coming when the rumors started last year.
2
8:00 that's pretty much various state Republican party platforms, not exactly spelled out the same way but ya they don't want to see any birth control just more workers and soldiers for the holy war. But don't want anything to do with supporting those mothers from irresponsible males.
2
We have a massive problem of toxic masculinity in America, the last 30 years our firearms companies have basically messaged that if you don't have this firearm you're not a real man, and then tie in religion where the woman must be subservient and have issues.
2
I highly recommend David Foley's "Communist" comedy skit for the Kids in the Hall in the early 90s it's like his satirical rendition of a cold war reactionary of the west was spot on today about Russia.
2
6:10 ya we don't have to imagine over here they use CGI to make our previous president rugged and manly surely no coincidence.
2
00:20 ah yes they have entered the Silent Service. π
2
4:55 π Im like calm down. π
2
The people who claim to support trump but then are shocked wbout what he did jave been living under a rock for a decade. This was inevitable with Trump he has more excuses in defending Putin than he does for school shootings.
2
I remember in one of the first major counter offensives in 2022 there was an interaction with an old woman, she had his her flag under her steps so the orcs wouldn't find it.
2
But in America it was the same thing, look at any TV program, like Leave it to Beaver or Ozzie and Harriet the separate beds. Also Lucille Ball when she was pregnant they hid her as much as possible. I think the only parody of this in movies in the US was Red Heat with Arnold Schwarzenegger turning on a TV and uttered "capitalism" it is still like that in parts of the US particularly in regions that listen to Fox News and support Putler have repressive policies and ongoing agendas to keep young women in the kitchen.
2
4:30 i was listening and I thought maybe tou had shirts or pants with metal buttons in the clothes dryer. Glad youre getting some rain, we can inly damage the climate so much to keep the cold weather a bit milder this winter.
2
We will be fine without Facebook for a day. Now is Twitter was shit down thenany could rejoice a little in the disinformation campaign.
2
1:45 I had to relisten where the fire was I thought you said the river was on fire, I'm like sounds like 1960's Cuyahoga River.
2
8:00 smokescreen
2
You're well in the right for not wanting Russians to help rebuild Ukraine. People who defected sure, soliders who have proven they do not want the life Putin wants for them, perhaps. But it's like going back to an abusive spouse, they promise they'll change or won't do it again and yet in the end you'll be right back where you were before.
2
7:39 Ignorance is Bliss
2
To be a little fair to Putin π we may have a few Americans with deep Slavic roots and discretionary experience in the flatter parts of Ukraine.
2
LOL, hey maybe south of your border east of Cleveland lots of Ukrainians there, I even trained one when I was a manager at Chuck E Cheese in '01.

A dark sense of humor is necessary to survive.

Ya Thunderf00t covered Russias very likely inert nukes anout a year ago because of their level of corruption in tsking money for the maintenance.
1
Sadly Ukraine is stuck in the middle of the international Poker game where everyone is cheating. To answer your question why, because all Putin has to do is have one of his devout followers launch then everyone else will launch. It's already been modeled of how many are operational and the likelihood of how many still work given the immense upkeep and maintenance such weapons need. This is why we've been fervent about middle eastern nations having nukes because of radicalization yet didn't plan 40+ years ago that our near peers would eventually be dictated by a more irrational person than imagined in Hollywood.
1
With Putin's motivations and the far right in the US loving what he is doing. Look at how many that have been sent to Ukraine to fight, most of them are from those other areas of non "true" Russians, so is this war a way for him to ethnically cleanse Russia while acquiring better land and resources and some of the people? Obviously the world will be better without Putin in it but are there other worse elements that could take over power and be worse than Putin? Look when we "liberated" Iraq, we created a power vacuum and that went well. π

The Olympic committee is just like some US politicians and media play the bothsides and whataboutisms.

The only people who should be apologizing are the ones who bestowed us woth thie petulant child yet again as if somehow he was ever a leader.
1
I cannot imagine trying to sleep with man made destruction constantly on anyone's mind in Ukraine. At worst we endure in the US is a tornado overnight, not some country launching missiles and artillery at us.
