I was the youngest republican elected in Ohio in 97, (don't care if I dox myself, I'm heavily doxed lol) but I was at best a moderate left leaning republican for a small community, by 2000 with the insane things against Clinton and the crazy sht Dubya was campaigning on and if course the denial of science got me to leave them when their hypocrisy was too much to ignore.
