  1. +syzygy10 No, I agree with you. I don't know why the Drinker likes this so much! As you said, nothing really happens. A basic plot that takes ages to push forward. The film has that slow feeling to it, a bit like Alien 3, where it feels more like a tech demo. One thing that pissed me off was where Jason Momoa stated that those tribes men are brutal fighters where he barely won, but then the leader gets beaten by a middle aged woman in seconds who doesn't really fight (typical feminist moment) and the main character takes on three of them and dispatches them in the same time. Then he goes one on one with another challenger and wins easily! I thought this house/tribe were meant to be good fighters? This film is just like all of the others, has no substance.

  2. I'm surprised the Drinker liked this movie. I thought it was as bad as modern movies are. The same laboured feel to it as the others.
