  2. Don't forget that life was also hard back then. If you didn't die before 5, you had a lifetime of hard labor to look forward to, no toilet paper, no modern day plumbing, beds that were basically piles of hay, bandits if you traveled through the wrong forest, a chance of dying from a tiny infection, etc. I love living in modern times.
