  1. The US also doesn't require elementary students to use special backpacks. It's a nice tradition, but they seem kind of cumbersome for a child, considering how few things children need to bring to and from school at that age.

  2. Beard Papa has a couple of locations in Southern California that I know of. Y! Mobile looks like it's owned by Yahoo! because that's their logo on their site. You probably remember how diversified malls were in the 90s (I'm guessing US and Canadian malls were quite similar), now it's mostly clothes with maybe a Sanrio store or a store for general Asian things, a Spencers, a Hot Topic (they're a full on nerd store now), a food court and clothing/shoe stores. Some have gachapon, but it's a small section, and/or a children's play area. I have one near me that has a full on gym that where you can stare at the people on the treadmills lol.
