  21. I feel like people don't really get the idea of inherent value. Like, okay, think about a beautiful painting. Masterfully painted by a famous artist, preserved over centuries, in perfect condition. Its colors as radiant as the day they were put on canvas. Now, imagine that painting existing in a world with no people. Would the painting still have any kind of value, either monetary, historical, or emotional? I don't think it would. There'd be no one to give it value.

I feel like plenty of Christians, especially older ones, are so set in their beliefs that they have no problem saying things and claiming they're 100% true and not accepting any counterarguments, which is really not helpful for a discussion.

  52.  @IssyFishyy  I don't attack every Christian. Most of the time I just ask questions about epistemology in the context of videos about religion. If the religious person in question is preaching brimstone and hellfire and taking homophobic positions for example, I tend to be a bit more hostile, to match their own hostility. But outside of the context of religious discussions, I live and let live. While I think religious belief is irrational, I only really take issue when they actively try and spread it, or when they hold bigoted beliefs based on their religious beliefs.
