  2. Murder isn't murder if it's not being committed against a person though. And assigning personhood to a zygote or an early-stage fetus seems arbitrary and unfounded to me. And I find it incredibly unethical to put the rights of a clump of cells with the potential to someday be a person, over those of the person whose body is hosting it.

If we're calling any genetic offspring a child regardless of the stage of development, we should outlaw menstruation, as it kills a perfectly viable egg cell which could grow into a living child. Sure it'd be uncomfortable for a woman to be pregnant for practically all of her adult life, but isn't a child's life waaaaayyyyy more important?

This can prevent men from seeking help after a traumatic experience and can lead to things like depression and addiction. Or for another example, the idea that a "real man" is sexually aggressive, and exclusively straight. And that failing to be both of these things means you're not a "real man". This can lead men to pretending to be someone they're not to avoid losing status among his peers.

  59. Toxic masculinity means an expression of masculinity that's harmful. Like an idea that a "real man" should be sexually aggressive, or that having interests that are seen as feminine makes one a "pussy". Both men and women can take part in it.
