And a fetus lacks personhood, especially in the first trimester when the majority of abortions take place. They are at that point unthinking and unfeeling. Whereas human persons of any ethnicity think and feel.

I'm guessing it's because "pro-life" people see controlling women's sexuality and bodily autonomy as easier and more desirable than controlling men's ejaculations.

  42. Fetus. Not a baby. You're using inaccurate terms in an attempt to manipulate people's emotions. But the fact is that a fetus can't viably live without its host and isn't conscious, and because of that I see no real justification for ascribing it personhood. You should take a look at what the "pro-life" side is suggesting as well. Should women legally be forced to complete a pregnancy they don't want? What about if the fetus is the result of rape? What if the pregnancy could harm the mother? Actually that last one is a bit of a trick question, as all pregnancies can potentially harm the mother.
