@HimbiMirza How is the absence of theistic belief a "disease"?
1
No, we don't "deep down all know there is a god."
1
@threehoods7254 You said the opposite.
1
@threehoods7254 That's right.
1
@sergeypaliy6361 No, it literally isn't a religion. It doesn't fit the definition.

@Palestine4Ever169 No, religions don't have to be theistic. But for something to classify as a religion it does have to be a collection of supernatural beliefs. Atheism, however, is not a belief at all. Atheism is only the absence of theistic belief.

@Palestine4Ever169 No, again, atheism is the lack of theistic belief. It can include the belief that there are no gods, but doesn't have to in order to qualify for the "atheist" label. Agnosticism is also not mutually exclusive to either atheism or theism, as agnosticism just means that you don't claim to know that your position is correct.

@Palestine4Ever169 Buddhism doesn't include theistic belief but there's still belief in the supernatural involved. Atheism, once again, is just the lack of theistic belief. Not a belief in itself.

@sergeypaliy6361 Repeating yourself doesn't make you correct. I've already explained in this thread why you're wrong.

Well, nobody's perfect.

Not believing is easy. There's no demonstrable evidence that a god exists, so I don't believe. Simple.

@reneereah9437 "Came from nothing"? I'm not entirely sure what that means. But yes, as far as I can tell, we live lives with no inherent purpose and then die. I don't particularly like it, but I've no reason to believe otherwise. And the lack of inherent meaning is simply because meaning is a human concept. Things have meaning if we imbue them with it.
1
@reneereah9437 Why? I haven't seen any evidence indicating that the existence of living creatures, planets, etc requires some kind of incredibly powerful sentient being.
