Smartphones are designed and built by humans. We know this not because we see smartphones as complex, but because we know about the history of smartphones, cellphones, the early telephones, computers, etc. Because we know there's smartphone factories. These are demonstrable facts. Not to mention telltale signs of a human-made object like Arabic letters and numbers, plastic, metal, glass, etc.
Humans, on the other hand, occur naturally. We're "made" by other humans in a sense through sexual reproduction, but there's no evidence of a human ever being designed. What the evidence does point to quite conclusively, is that human beings are a product of evolution.

"On the science, children are born with what has been called a "God gene" - an expectation of God. Atheism is not the default state of the human mind."
Looks to be apologetics based on the misrepresentation of a study, from what I can quickly see. The truth is that atheism is the default position. No one's born believing in a god. We instinctually look for patterns and sapience, though. We see faces in clouds and wallpaper because being paranoid about predators hiding in bushes was a trait that tended to pay off when humanity was not quite at the top of the food chain.
"Sociologically, atheism as a historical phenomena is statistically non-existent. Atheism is the deviation from the norm."
The majority of people can be wrong about something. Especially when said majority has had a history of murdering unbelievers. People used to take blasphemy pretty seriously.
"Logically, there is no neutral ground, especially if we posit a godless universe - there is no set standard defining "this is neutral, and that is not." Nothing beyond your own arbitrary preferences. In your case, you've created criteria for neutrality that assume absence of something is more neutral than presence of something. But you have no more right to assert your claim to neutrality than anyone else. It is an artificial claim - a word game, at best."
Honestly not even sure what you're getting at here, please elaborate.
"On that last point, take the time to answer your own question about God and the universe. Do the thought experiment yourself. “what does "the universe coming from nothing" have to do with the existence of a god?” Stretch yourself for a bit, think about it openly for an hour and come back with your draft ideas. You may be surprised where the logic leads you."
Cool, it looks like you found a way to avoid answering the question while looking really smug about it! I'll rephrase: why assume that "the universe came from nothing" and "the universe were created by a god" are the only two possible options? How do you know either of those are possible options?
