@Frankmaui67 U R the lucky ones, but U foresaw what to do,(& U CLEARLY diversified... MUCH MORE so than others have, here in the US). It is sooo sad on 5th avenue/ all shopping districts in NYC, deserted, the china towns abandoned. Take-outs don't cut it = 25% of the $ & with winter setting in...plummeting revenues for those "take out-type businesses. I cannot see high end expensive or "nice sit down dinning experience anytime soon. Young ppL with limited prospects..(scary). Big venues, corporate meetings kaput! Wedding Halls R done! Comm'L RE is Kaput...4 lease/4 sale signs EVERYWHERE (esp. for Comm'L RE)...Reset soon? I hope...(our household anticipated this X FACTOR, & we also "prepared(?)"hmm... for this years ago)Scary walking, NO more "side walk" walks, no walking at nightfall in NYC, (forget about it)... yup, done, great info... I want to see what others R doing in these channels.

NBC News 4 NYC...NYC Crime Surge Continues: Shootings Up 166%...For the month of August 2020 (alone), there was a 166% increase in the number of shooting incidents across the city (242 v. 91) as the number of shootings rose in all boroughs except Staten Island. The number of people murdered citywide increased to 53 v. 36 (+ 47%) for the month, while the number of robberies increased to 1,276 v. 1,226 (+4%) and the number of burglaries increased to 1,310 v. 1,076 (+22%) citywide. Since May, the city has recorded 791 shootings, a more than 140 percent increase over the same period in 2019....Amid Rise in Shootings, NYC Police Target Gang Leaders...New York City police detectives will target gang leaders in a campaign against gun violence as the city deals with a rise in shootings that is more intense than any seen in the previous 20 years, the Wall Street Journal reports. Gun violence in New York has surged in 2020 to heights unseen in a decade. The city has recorded 1,412 shooting incidents in the first 11 months of 2020, a nearly 96 percent rise from 721 in the same period last year. The number of shooting victims in the city was 1,730 in the first 11 months of this year, more than double last year.

yes ! yes Sead M, Vena ...In fact we were invited there ! over N over, (They insist that we go there wherever there IS,...lol...I am sure it is a nice place they have good taste...they told us to stay there etc. ) BUT recently during the virus...we R as BUSY as they were prior to them leaving NYC , even busier we have several properties here in NYC / CT... We R ALSO, "PLANNING OUR OWN ESCAPE fr: NYC metro area, yes that would be a stop for us ! ...(how did U know?? Sead ! U must read my mind !) ...)) umm, no... we do NOT know what is there in Croatia, but if it IS "nice" we will stay longer & B " repeat customers & we will NO longer base our stays in the USA...lol...Thank God we have ample means to live whereEVER we want on this planet... Yes we also have " passive income" but NOT needed (Thank God), yes I will shop & dine & live RICHLY there in Croatia, I like the "finer things in life" BUT I will live richly, BUT NOT necessarily spend it like a drunken sailor & have to "spend RICHES" to live richly, I like the GOOD THINGS in life not necessarily cost anything to do so I like " culture" outdoor stuff etc.. FUN things to do & see culture... BUT I will hire a worker or workers if we choose to stay long there for over 3 days I do want somebody to help around the house/ villa/residence /condo etc. & NO I WILL NOT IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM P/U A BROOM OR MOP OR WASH A DISH ! i WOULD RATHER THROW IT AWAY ! L NO ! ...lol... thanks ! Sead... 4 UR input... over 2 feet of snow past w/end & another 9 inches another 8 inches etc etc,.. in CT & NYC grabbing everything... I'm counting our years here... plumber coming next week to do major work here in CT.... rehab ,,,...fix...rip out gut...sell.... sell ... sell ... that's our plan yes Sead ! it will take a while, but I'm pretty fast getting workers I called 3 companies already 1 is coming in a few hours.... & 1 next week I hope..

Bx just now, awful lookin' like the early 1990's, 1980's, hopefully not yet (while I'm here...like the 1970's)...awful looking vagrants, awful lookin' homeless creeps, dope fiends scratchin' themselves all over, disgusting lookin' drug dealers at the entrance of bodegas, flowers, candles, stuffed toys... with pictures & graffiti picture of the dead youth on the wall, pee & poop (NOT doggie kind), I park near & next to the bodegas, ppL starring at me when I go in "WATCHING MY BOTH HANDS" I do NOT...repeat...I do NOT EVER PUT MY HAND INSIDE MY COAT POCKET, bag whatever....yup... I ALWAYS SHOW MY HANDS...yup...& MOST OF ALL ...I NEVER NEVER NEVER LOOK AT ANYBODY OR STARE AT ANYBODY in the street corner...
