  1. we were taught that in Vet school many yrs ago. If you have a bad reaction after a first dose of vaccine, the 2nd dose will almost always give you a MUCH worse reaction, and a 3rd dose would be tragic. ps dog and cat and other animal Drs are taught to ALWAYS aspirate when giving an IM injection...just in case.
