because the CDC hirees are now chosen for ticking boxes, not for their knowledge or expertise. The last head of the CDC was a woman and a doofus. She did what the TEACHERS told her to do, when they didn't want to go back to work....the CDC said that opening schools was safe, but retracted that when the teachers' union sent a complaining letter to the head of the CDC. Biden didn't even know when a Medal of Honour ceremony was over and walked out mid ceremony. He's REALLY having trouble with dementia, and is on vacation almost half the time now....he can only work from 10 AM to 4 PM now, according to his aides. And the CDC does what the govt tells them to do. Actually, the best and wisest ppl on covid were the local VETERINARIANS.....they're used to working with respiratory corona viruses.
