not necessarily. Some viruses are very stable....rabies is still 100% lethal. When they replicate, they don't make mistakes. Some viruses make so many mistakes when replicating that they've never been able to make a vaccine for them (HIV AIDS) The flu mutates as well....covid seems to be about half way between rabies and HIV. All the best to you!!

@DeltaCodex i don't know why they say this...it's a theory, but doesn't often work. Rabies is still 100% lethal after hundreds of yrs. Measles, polio, chicken pox, etc will make you just as sick as they did 50 yrs ago. I think they're basing it on Ebola and hope. The first ppl to get Ebola almost always die. The next group (medical ppl) usually die. The third group has a lower death rate, and by the time you get to the 10th level you can pretty much eradicate Ebola. That's about the only example that i know of. (some viruses LOOK less lethal because of drugs...eg AIDS/ HIV) All the best to you!!

@Oxnate that was deliberate....they don't want it associated with the Chinese president. All the best to you!!

@winniecash1654 some viruses are very stable...they don't mutate, and they don't make mistakes when they replicate. Rabies is still 100% lethal if you get it. some make SO many mistakes that we cant' make a vaccine for it..HIV.AIDS. covid seems to be about half way in between. thank you!! i think they'll have to switch to numbers at some point though....mos ago there were over 300,000 mutations, but only a few made any difference. Thanks for the info! (I kept meaning to look it up) All the best to you and yours!!

@po18guy or more...a few mos ago there had been 300,000 mutations. MOst make no difference, so they don't get a name. All the best to you!

if they're discovering 900 cases a day in Guateng province South Africa, (however it's spelled) that probably means they're as sick as they would be with the Delta variant...maybe a bit less sick, but still visible. Hopefully not MORE sick. Canada is toast....we just opened our borders with the USA, who aren't taking any precautions. Biden's blaming Fauci for bad advice on travel restrictions.
