  1. that's what we heard....you're contagious for at least 2 days before you have any signs of disease, and then you have to be sick for 3 days before the test works. So if you get a cold, wait 3 days before testing, or you'll be neg. Ps one Dr said that respiratory viruses tend to fight each other...if you get covid, you're not likely to get flu, for example. One of the reasons why flu disappeared last winter.
