  1. umm...hundreds died at Chernobyl....they were the ppl who had to try to contain the area. Miles around Chernobyly are still uninhabitable, and will be for hundreds if not thousands of yrs. Same with Japanese who sorted out Fukijima......it's not that Nuclear accidents have killed so many so far, it's just that if you have a decent nuke accedent, you make thousands of sq miles uninhabitable. ps we've not invented batteries that can store energy from wind and solar yet. When night comes and the wind stops blowing, the electrical grid goes down. The EU found that out the hard way last summer.....the wind stopped blowing for 5 days. The UK managed because they'd not destroyed 2 coal plants that they fired up and kept the electric grid going....Germany wasn't so lucky.
