  1.  @anonymousone2843  we had a client who was doing EVERYTHING wrong. (vets...umm us, not them) The german Shepherd finally decided that they shouldn't eat in the dining room anymore. It was a bit of a challenge to sort everything out without getting the dog into a LOT of trouble. They did it by eating before the dog did, and making him wait (the pack leader eats first and they'd been feeding him so he wouldn't bother them at dinner.) and the dog lies on the floor...the ppl sit on the furniture (they'd been letting the dog have the sofa when they watched TV) When the dog got the point, you could see the weight of the world lift off his shoulders....trying to be pack leader to a married couple with assorted kids is HARD! ps the tips are for other ppl...you would know what to do....All the best to all of you!!

  4.  @austinhoner5389  hardly ever (and i'm a retired small animal vet) The ppl weep, bring their kids to court, and blame the person who was bitten (they waved their hands too much, etc) The judge owns a dog so the owner gets a tiny fine and an order to keep the dog on their own property. They rarely do. Each jurisdiction varies, of course, but usually the dog goes on biting til they seriously disfigure a child. THEN they get put down. Good luck to you and yours!!

  6.  @hiTCAM00  about 10 % of dogs are insane...about the same rate as ppl.....if they get away with biting once, they never stop. signed, retired small animal veterinarian. And Caesar Milan is being sued now because he takes his clients dogs out off leash in a leash only area and one of them attacked a neighbour who was trying to save his own dog's life. The neighbour's arm and hand were ripped open.

  8.  @Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0000  not alway....about 10% of them are fairly nuts. They bite once and get away with it and they never stop...usually it ends with a small child being seriously disfigured. The "dog expert" was a construction guy who didn't like it, read a few books, and worked with a star's dog...and got famous. There's a vid on youtube...if it's not been pulled...called "Caesar's worst bite" He had a yellow lab up against a fence when she suddenly froze. I've seen that before...i'm a retired veterinarian...and i had just enough time to say "you're dead" when she lunged forward and ripped his arm open. The only way to stop a dog like that is to keep a basket muzzle on it at all times, except when it's alone with the owner (basket muzzles let them pant) Some dogs are born that way...they just like to bite.

  9.  Ed Ensor  he DID break Biden's foot at Christmas. To be fair, Biden was yanking on his tail at the time, which is excruciatingly painful for a pet.

  10.  @erichamilton285  Ppl might want to know about this if they ever visit the White House...the Wh House gives tours to school children. That's what usually gets the dog put down...they permanently disfigure a child. cheers anyways!

  11.  @alicegorsen1968  he went back to his home in Delaware once. He should go again...and stay there. A nice basket muzzle might work too...baskets are the muzzles that let them pant. Some dogs are just born biters though....there's nothing you can do to make them stop. All the best to you!!

  12.  Artificial Intelligence  he can't ...he's just giving someone he thinks likes Trump a hard time. It's all they can do. He's implying that the dog's never bitten anyone...famous last words. THe next victim is usually a child...they give school tours at the White HOuse....and that's the end of the dog.

  13. the dog is a biter, and needs a basket muzzle at all times (basket muzzles allow a dog to pant.) Not a good ad for rescue dogs!!! and for all we know, he bit ppl in Delaware as well.

  16.  @alicegorsen1968  yeah the police and Humane Society (who are supposed to be doing the investigations here) are crazy....unless THEY see the animal abused by someone, they won't do anything. I like to try a basket muzzle....the dog bonks you with it, but they can pant if it's too hot for them. It's just that without provocation like your dog had...so sorry!!....you can't really trust a dog that bites without provocation....it'll do it again. Poor Major needs a basket muzzle!
