  1. Syria was crazy.....it ended up with Assad vs ISIS....the moderates were bumped out of the equation. Many of the weapons sent by the West ended up in ISIS' hands....(To be fair, if i were holding a rifle and a pickup truck full of ISIS soldiers drove up and said "gimme the gun" I'd hand it over right quick.) My fave, in a watching the horrible train wrecl kind of way, was in Apr '15 when the Sunnis backed by the US Dept of Defense were in pitched battle with the Sunnis backed by the CIA.
