  1. in Ontario, they have standardized tests in Math and English in grades 3 and 6. English wasn't so bad, but grade 3'rs didn't do all that well in Math, and most of the grade 6'rs failed. Just for fun, school boards gave Math TEACHERS the Grade 6 teachers the same exam. The majority of them failed the exam as well.
