  1. electric cars get about 200 miles per charge...then it's 13 hrs on a charger. If you use a fast charger, it takes only 2 hrs, but way shortens the life of the car's battery. A friend almost got caught on the highway....he'd forgotten that cold weather shortens the time/distance you have by a third.
