  1. we (veterinary students) were saying that in the mid 70's. OUr first experiment in bacteriology was how well masks prevented transmission of bacteria...a thousand times larger than viruses. The longest a cloth mask lasted vs bacteria was 20 minutes. Studies in Canada, Denmark and the UK proved that cloth masks don't work (canada did the best...cloth was 5% effective.)

  2.  Lawrence Carlson  YEah, it's been a great check for halitosis. On the other hand, i'm rather plain, except for the eyes....if it wasn't for the fact that the darn masks steam up my glasses , i'd wear one forever....i look MUCH better in them. All the best to you and yours!!

  3.  @PDXFilmmongers  yes, we all did. Maybe they'd forgotten that experiment (we all had to do it to prove that we shouldn't be doing surgery while sick.) Maybe it was the local regulations. (in Ontario, the number of ppl you could have in any one place depended on the square footage.....by the time you packed in all the vets, techs and receptionists, legally there was no room for clients.) Mostly it was because ppl said we were just stupid veterinarians, what would we know? (never mind that we work with respiratory corona viruses all the time) All the best to you and yours!!
