in Canada, they give standardized tests to Grade 3's and grade 6's. (at least in ONtario) in English and Math. English was adequate, but grade 3's struggled with Math and most of the grade 6 students failed. Just for interest, they gave the Math teachers the math tests that the students were given....Grade 3 teachers mostly passed, but the Grade 6 TEACHERS mostly failed the student exam.

are they kidding? They have one of the easiest jobs in the world! 2 mos off in the summer, half of them can't pass their own courses....out by 4...Ok there's a BIT of homework...and there's the past 2 yrs. sitting around in your pj's at full pay.

@josephgaviota first they'd go back if they were allowed to jump the line and get vaccinated. They were vaxxed, and didn't go back. Then it was improved ventilation....the ventilation was improved and they didn't go back. Their demands mean nothing...no matter what ppl fix for them, they'll never go back. Why work a full day when you can sit at home in your jammies and get full pay? All the best to you!

@thejumper7282 when you have no argument, insult your opponent. yeah, i've heard the stories of teachers having to mark papers in the evening. I'm in med.....12 hr days are common, and it's years before you actually get a coffee break...you're lucky if you get lunch, and sometimes even supper. A teacher's job seems like a breeze.

@loriclark505 yes! they need to do a Reagan, like he did with the air traffic controllers. Fired them all and got replacements when they wouldn't work. All the best to you!!
