we're in the city with one of the top universities in Canada. The city had to put up pedestrian stoplights all around the university to stop the "smart" ppl from getting squashed like bugs...or from jumping out in front of cars and causing the cars to crash. There's one main street that intersects with another...and there's a right turn lane onto the cross street so the traffic doesn't get stopped, and backed up til they blocked an exit. Finally the city had to put up a sign "pedestrians wait for the gap in traffic" After a few mos the city gave up and put a pedestian stoplight there...but the pedestrians have to push a button. But they don't......which has caused some rear enders from students jumping in front of the cars. Yeesh!
