  1. in Toronto Ont years ago, they were hiring about 60 firefighters (i think it was). They were all tested. The top 10 were hired, and the rest of the minorities who applied were hired, no matter what their performance on the tests was. A Japanese man had come in 4th,....they asked him how he felt about this. "if i'd known what they were going to do, i wouldn't have tried so hard" he said.
