Man, all wrong in this video. - Holes in a piston are needed to drain removed oil from the ring zone to prevent oil coking around the ring. - Oil consumption has nothing to do with a rings tension. Oil consumption is related to reduced piston height (to reduce its mass) . The piston moves more freely around an axis perpendicular to a cylinder axis and works as an oil pump collecting oil when it moves in one direction and pushing it to combustion chamber when it changes direction.
