  2.  @MrFeynmanDiagram  the same did Germans when they invaded USSR, so this was an important lesson, do not commit war crimes if you do not want war crimes being commited against you. Germans robbed USSR citizens of warm cloth during the winter , so people freezed to death, this was so horrendous that Soviet soldiers killed on the spot Germans captured with civilian clothes.
