  19. There are many seniors who don't qualify for food stamps. My husband and I are both on SS. We don't have any other source of income. However, we make over (just barely) the amount to qualify.

  24. My husband and I are on a fixed income too. Even though we got a COLA raise this year our Medicare premium went up. That along with inflation has wiped out any hope of savings.
