  1. Manchin is against providing more benefits because Social Security is in trouble financially. In an interview he said Social Security needs to be fixed first before adding more benefits.

  2.  @BadAssElf810  I don't know who has proposed any kind of legislation to fix Social Security. Manchin isn't proposing cutting benefits from Social Security. He's just opposed to adding knew benefits.
