  3.  @BeingPoorSucks  Glad you have a job. If it's not enough for you to live comfortably, then get a better job or lower your standards. The government doesn't have money of it's own, it's all funded by the people/taxpayers. Flat money or digital currency isn't real money unless it's backed up by real dollars. Rent control has been tried in the 70's and more recently in CA. It failed because it leads to more shortages of housing. For example, if you own several rental properties and the local or federal government says you can only charge $$$ and not $$$$, then why rent your house? Just sell and get out of that area. This leads to fewer rental homes. If you're an investor in commercial property or apartment buildings and there is rent control, why would you invest? It might take longer to get your investment back.

If digital currency really is bottomless then we should be able to use that to pay off our 33 trillion dollars of debt. Will Japan and China except the bottomless digital currency as payment?
