@Btx931 You really think that there are 87,000 vacant positions? If so you're really naive.

Definitely not! I have known people who have a green card and have been here 20 years, but don't speak English fluently.

@kittyday1402 I read that article too. That's why I said why won't Congress fix those problems and make tax reform? In my opinion they don't want to fix the problem, because they benefit from those tax loopholes.

@kittyday1402 I'm not Trump, so I don't know why. However, The New York Times must have somehow gotten his taxes because they did an article covering his taxes. The question should be is why won't Congress fix the tax loopholes that allow rich people like Trump, Pelosi, etc. to evade paying their share of taxes? At least Trump's tax cuts put a rule in place that capped the SALT Tax deduction. Which the Democrat Party in Congress has been trying to remove. They like their big tax deduction for the rich!

@honolulublues5548 If you live in a country and call it your home, I would think that you would want to learn the language that the majority of the people speak.

@Btx931 I suggest you do a little research. The IRS is not hiring 87,000 new people. They are understaffed by about 20%. However, they are hiring about 50,000 people over the next 5 years because of a large amount of people retiring. The funds from the Inflation Reduction Act will be disbursed over the next 10 years. Also Trump has nothing to do with the hiring of IRS agents. Congress has the power of funding, not the President. The IRS had been losing staff since 2010 because of Congressional budget cuts.

@Btx931 LOL You are a typical leftist. Always resorting to personal attacks when you can't debate civilly. I have paid my taxes my whole life! I am not worried about the IRS coming after me. You are correct that Trump did issue a hiring freeze. However, that hiring freeze only lasted until April 12, 2017. Politifact July 15, 2020. From the Office of Personnel Management - "Overall the size of the federal workforce hasn't changed much since Trump took office." So no, the IRS or any other government agency was not running on a "skeleton" workforce for four years. If you actually did research instead of listening to pundits who just want to push their narrative, you couldn't be proven wrong so easily.
