@DEEteek314 I read that article. Trump said "we were just months from completing the structure." He didn't explicitly say the border wall was completed.

@DEEteek314 I will agree on both points. Yes, the wall needs more than just "final touches" and yes, it would be nice if promises made would be kept. However, we're talking about politicians, so I digress. Your initial comment that Trump said the wall was completed, was factually incorrect. Building a physical structure across the whole border would be next to impossible, around half of the border is the Rio Grande River in Texas.

@kurtbarlow9402 Yes, very true! I have seen the border wall. If it had actually been finished, we wouldn't have 200,000 people crossing our border every month.

@DEEteek314 Construction on the border wall didn't begin until late 2018 and into early 2019. 450 miles of border wall were constructed in about 2 years. It took Bush and Obama 8 years to construct about 600 miles of pedestrian fencing and vehicle barriers. The rate of construction under Trump went much faster. Just for your information the Biden administration is currently filling in gaps and constructing barriers on the border. So I guess Biden lied when he said no more border wall would be built.
