The teacher was the only one trying to do anything. She/he took pictures of the note before it was altered. They documented the internet search for bullets. The teacher sent this kid to the office. The administrators and parents failed.

@Bosingr I don't know about the laws in Michigan, but in most states teachers/educators are mandated reporters for abuse and neglect. Not sure if this case would qualify, but the teacher maybe could have called children's services.

@jade63073 Yes, I thought that teachers being mandated reporters is the law. I just wasn't sure if it is federal or each state. I think the teacher should have called CPS.
