@rickmcdonald2233 LOL I knew you would pull that "party switch" BS! That is a Democrat Party myth. There is some truth to Nixon's Southern Strategy and it did sway some democrat voters to vote for Republican Party Presidential candidates. However, the southern states voted for the Democrat Party locally, and for their Congressional representation in the House and Senate. For example Georgia was democrat controlled from 1872-2003. Mississippi 1882-1992. Alabama from 1874-1987. Strom Thurmond was the only Democrat to change to the Republican Party. All other Dixiecrat's remained members of the Democrat Party.
