@respectbegetsrespect6019 The personnel (USCBP & ICE) are being told by the Biden administration not to follow immigration policies or laws. They are receiving mixed messages at best.

@respectbegetsrespect6019 There have been Border Patrol agents speak out against the Biden administration. They say their hands are tied. Biden did stop deportations for his first 100 days in office, which led to record high numbers of illegal immigrants crossing our border. Abbott has also been very vocal about the Biden administration's refusal to follow immigration policy and law.

@respectbegetsrespect6019 Yes, I agree that Border Patrol has that authority, but just because those laws are there doesn't mean they are being followed. That's the problem, the laws are not being enforced.

@respectbegetsrespect6019 That is the question? If Border Patrol isn't following immigration laws, why? Are they afraid of reprisals? Maybe loosing their job if they don't follow initiatives, directives put in place by government officials? In my personal opinion government officials are at fault. I agree surrounding Americans in border communities are suffering.

@respectbegetsrespect6019 They should be allowed to do their job, but very few media sources (certainly not most MSM) seek out Border Patrol/ICE to ask them what's going on at the border. Those of us who have lived close to the border see the reality everyday.
