Title 42 was a law made in 1944. The Democrat Party had full control of Congress and the Presidency. So not a Republican Party law.

@scottfarner5100 The Supreme Court did make a ruling in December of 2022. They ruled that the Biden administration could not remove Title 42 for 2 months. Title 42 is part of The Public Health and Safety Act of 1944. That is a Federal law not a Presidential policy.

@scottfarner5100 LOL Title 42 is not an open border policy. Like I said before we did not have record border apprehensions from March 2020 through January 2021 under the Trump administration when the same Title 42 was also in place.

@scottfarner5100 I suggest you watch or read the House oversight committee hearings from February 2023. This is just one excerpt from CBP official from Tucson Arizona. Chief Modlin: “The thing I can tell you that goes to the spike that you’re talking about is that in the Tucson sector interview people post-arrest, what became the most common response was that they believed when the administration changed, that the law changed and policy changed and there was an open border.”

@scottfarner5100 I have lived near the border for many years. It is you who is not informed. You just want to blame Trump and republicans for the border crisis. President Biden and the Democrat Party controlled government for two years. What have they done to fix the problem? Did the Democrats in the House hold meetings to discuss the border crisis? The point is we did not have this crisis when Trump was President.

@scottfarner5100 2019's high illegal immigration was not 20 year high. In 2000 we had 1.6 million illegal border crossings. Trump's numbers prior to 2019 were in line with Obama's yearly totals. 2009 - 556,041 2012 -364,769 2016 -415,816 2017 - 310,531 2018 - 404,142 Title 42 was not in place until March of 2020. Fiscal year runs from October through September, so by the time Title 42 was put into place half of the fiscal year was over. Blaming Title 42 for Biden's border crisis is ridiculous! We have never had over 2 million apprehensions in one year until Biden's border policies created this crisis. Funny thing is after bad mouthing Trump's border policies Biden is introducing a new policy in which migrants must apply for asylum in the first country they cross into. Sounds like a Trump policy 🤔 Biden is also filling in gaps in the border wall in Yuma Arizona, after promising "not one more foot of wall will be built." Seems as though he's under some pressure to get control of our border!
