@michaelhill8441 Still none of those laws are taking voting power away from electors.

@michaelhill8441 There is no such provision in Georgia SB202 that takes voting power away from voters. To my knowledge there is no such provision in the Texas voting Bill either. You have been deceived. Both Bills are available online for you to read.

@michaelhill8441 I did not make any comment to you regarding abortion. However, the actual right to have an abortion is not defined in the Constitution. It is only the right to privacy in the 14th Ammendment that was used for the ruling concerning abortion.

@michaelhill8441 There may not have been any "cheating" but there were plenty of irregularities. Georgia SB202 addresses a lot of issues and not just problems from republican counties/constituents. For example many democrat minorities complained of long lines. The Georgia Bill directly addresses this issue. However, there are still activists going to the media, pushing this narrative and placing blame on the Georgia law. This only proves that those people saying these things haven't read SB202 or they are intentionally deceiving people. The democrats Bill does away with voter ID. Having ID is widely approved by the majority of Americans. I agree campaign donations need to be more regulated. However, I don't want elections to be funded solely by the taxpayers either. There is too much in that Bill that is not publicly available.

@michaelhill8441 The laws were changed to make voting more uniform across all counties in Georgia. They also addressed specific issues from 2020 like absentee ballots.

@michaelhill8441 What law takes the power from the electors and gives that power to the state legislature?

@davedee6745 That part of the 1965 Voting Act was stripped away in 2013. The SCOTUS was more liberal than conservative in 2013.

@michaelhill8441 It may have been proposed, but thankfully not passed. I don't think that any such laws are right much less Constitutional. However, many in the media are falsely accusing the Georgia Bill and the Texas Bill of making suppressive laws. Many democrats are using that false narrative to push their voting legislation. If the legislation is so good they wouldn't need to falsely demonize Republican states legislation. It's wrong! All that does is further divide America.
