@robmart8255 Trump doesn't control the states. He has offered to send in federal officers. The mayor's and governor's of those cities and states have fought him and threatened to sue.

@robmart8255 Could be bad for them. I think people are getting tired of all the violence, rioters, and looting.

@mediacounts6684 The Constitution gives states certain rights. The federal government only has the power over federal buildings within a city/state. This is why Trump sent in federal officers to Portland to protect the federal courthouse. The mayor of Portland and governor of Oregon said the federal officers were making things worse. They said if the federal officers weren't there that everything would calm down. Of course that hasn't happened. I think eventually Trump will send officers back in, he's giving the city mayor some time to get it under control. I would think that the residents of Portland would get tired of having their city being ruined by rioters.
