@mikekubo3668 Unions ment better wages in the 70's. Now they collect union dues and donate to politicians. You don't have to have a union to make good money now. Plenty of high paying jobs out there.

@mikekubo3668 There are many non union jobs that pay very good pay. Manufacturing jobs in my area are non union. Many of those jobs don't require a college degree and those people are making 75 K a year or more. Are those jobs all over the country, no but they do exist.

@mikekubo3668 My son works at a manufacturing company. He has been there less than 10 years. He makes 70 K a year. His boss makes a 6 figure income. That might not be the average, but there are companies out there that are not union and pay very well. My son-in-law is another example, my daughter doesn't work they have 2 children. He makes about 70 K a year also in manufacturing at a different company than my son's employer. I guess that's the going pay around here. We will agree to disagree.
