@shai7779 How are republicans blocking this Bill? The democrats control both chambers of Congress. They pushed this Bill through a budget reconciliation, which means they only need all democrats to vote for it. A simple majority of 51 votes. They don't need any republicans. You need to look at Manchin and maybe other democrats.

@marycauffield2508 The $600 checks were given out at the end of December, beginning of January under the Trump administration. It was still a republican controlled Senate and WH so democrats didn't give you the $600.

There is a cap of 80,000. Anyone making over that amount won't get $1,400 checks. So under Trump more people got a check.

Peter Collins I don't consider anyone making under $100,000 wealthy. If this Bill goes through income will be capped at $80,000. That means fewer checks to the American people.

Peter Collins Depending on the source Social Security - $34,000 median household income. The Census Bureau is $64,000. Quite a big difference I'm not sure who's right. However, what I said is still correct less people will get a stimulus check under the Biden administration because of the income caps. Also this is all going off of 2019 income. Some people who made 80 - 100 thousand dollars in 2019 have lost their jobs or had their income reduced because of the pandemic. Those people should still receive a check.

Peter Collins I will agree nothing is perfect and yes, scumbag McConnell blocked the Bill in December just like Pelosi blocked a Bill for $1,200 checks in October. Neither of them do what's right for the American people.

Less Americans will receive stimulus checks under the Biden administration than the Trump administration.
