  12. The greatest fear of the West is the uniting of Africa. The Alliance of Sahel States put the fear in the hearts of the West. They observed the coming together of all Africans behind this new Alliance and feared other countries would join. This is why i believe that this was the reason for france to reluctantly withdraw from Niger. The West did not want to see this uniting energy continue to manifest itself around France.
