  1. Russia never wanted to use this ukraine transit pipeline after the nordstream 2 was built. Russia wanted to cut ukraine out and not pay anymore transit fees. That's why NS2 was built. Ukraine complained in 2021 that they would lose transit fees, and it was Russia who renewed the deal until 2024. Therefore, it is really Russia who wouldn't be renewing the deal and not ukraine.

  3. The usa rebuilt Japan and pumped billions into its economy. Then they built bases and also Japan when they surrendered, signed a treaty, stating that the USA would defend them after they were told that they must be demilitarized. In essence, Japan was made into a vassal of the USA.
