  1. Russia can provide even less gas to Europe and make more money, simply because the price of gas is so high. The EU in their wisdom, decided not to make long term contracts with Russia, but opted for short term contract to buy gas on the spot market. So now, due to this stupid decision, they are paying exorbitantly high market prices, instead of a guaranteed long term contract price which Russia offered to them. So, let them pay more for less. Russia will keep reducing and reducing it's gas flow, and make the same amount of money, until they stop providing gas completely.

  6. No one can replace Russia's cheap energy to Europe, no one. Europe's manufacturing costs will go up. Azerbaijan's supply is only less than eight percent of what Russia provide to Europe, same with Egypt and Israel. Russia supply 150 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe and Azerbaijan can only do about eight or twelve billion cubic meters. The EU is trying to patch up a 40% supply and can't do it. They need Russia's gas to survive. Russia is moving away from Europe slowly but surely. This partnership is over.
