  2. So true. Russia had been subsidizing Moldova's gas for many years. Gazprom have now given them a 700 million dollar gas bill which Moldova can't pay.

  5. It's this hubris which made the West underestimate the financial health of the Russians. Hence the sanctions backfired because Russia did not collapse in a few months as their so called experts had planned.
