  5. What i understand is that the Russian oligarchs helped to stimy the economic sanctions against Russia. They invested heavily domestically and bought up and continued to manage the foreign companies who left Russia. This kept the economy going where people were able to keep their jobs.

  6. I remember the depression of the Regan years. I remember steel factories closing down in Baltimore. I remember talks of moving factories to China back in those days. There was a front page caption in Times magazine: "The new homeless." They showed a picture of a person dressed in a suit and tie holding a briefcase. This was the beginning of the decline in the living standards of the middle class.
