  5. Because America is the aggressor and wants to destroy Russia. Therefore America is gobbling up Evey European country and enticing then to join NATO. Some of these countries never ask their citizens if they want to join NATO. They just go ahead and join without people voting on it. NATO then put nukes close to Russia as a threat. Ukraine is next to Russia and are anti Russia, so them joining NATO was seen as a threat to Russia's national security.
