@rumo893 energy costs are high, therefore it cancels out any benefit from renewables. Infact the renewable costs reflects the current energy costs, it is high also.

@mastermariner490 all those African and middle eastern countries have said they cannot replace the volume of Russian gas to Europe, even combined. There will be a shortage of gas to Europe regardless. 155bcm is what Russia sends to Europe via cheap piped gas. Energy costs will now double in all of Europe as we see happening today. Europe manufacturing companies will not be able to compete on the world markets. Accept this reality and don't ignore it.

@Enigmonkey many factories in Europe are closing down because the energy prices are making them unprofitable. Even bakeries are closing down. This is not good, it means thousands of people losing jobs. It's not just about keeping warm this winter.

@blueeyedwolf2205 that's why you don't care if Europe freezes. Is easy to say 'shut it off' from your soft comfy sofa in america. As usual Americans only think about themselves as they blow up the pipeline which supply cheap gas to Europe and harm Europe's ocean. Clap!
