  4. Russia provides 155 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe each year. Qatar said no one can replace Russia's gas supply. Azerbaijan is only going to supply 10 bcm over five years, Algeria less than that and Norway even less. There is a huge shortfall missing. Where is the deficit coming from? Renewable energy is not enough to provide manufacturing needs. America promised 30bcm over ten years. I'm sorry, but Putin is correct when he said, Europe will be dependent on cheap and reliable Russian gas for many years to come. And that is, if he does not decide to destroy Europe this winter by completely shutting off the gas.
