@Thaddeus-ml8if columbus did not get lost. He went to conquer and get the gold to enrich Spain. This was already a trading route to Mexico trading with the natives there. His armada was prepared for war.

@Thaddeus-ml8if that is an invented narrative. He went there to colonize and bring back gold to spain. They were already trading with the people on the Yucatan peninsula. The trade route was already known when he made his conquering trip with his armada. He was never lost. Why are there no contemporary portraits of Christopher Columbus? The portraits of him are only artists' rendition from their imagination. His entire story is full of contradictions. Take it with a grain of salt.

@lauiresmallwood885 His first trip with his armada was equipped for war, not trade. His voyage was to colonize and take the gold from the indigenous people. They knew the route beforehand as trade was being done before. The narrative we are told about him is a lie. There is no first hand portrait of his image. All artists rendition are figments of their imagination.
