The EU knew that would stop these countries from buying these items. The EU cleverly did not sanction fuel, fertilizers and grain, then claim like this deceiving woman from Canada, that Russia is the cause of food shortage in Africa and Asia. Just last week, the leaders of the African Union blamed the sanctions for food shortages on the EU sanctions, no one is fooled. Subsequently, the EU dropped sanctions on several Russian banks to facilitate purchases by these countries from Russia.
