Russia was ready for these stupidly prepared sanctions. Russia had it's BRICS partners on stand by. As soon as the Western leaders declared that the will no longer buy Russian gas, and end the oil imports by the end of the year, three BRICS partners emerged. First India, they are buying up millions of barrels of Russian oil with their own currency the Rupee. Next china, a behemoth which consumes energy like a hungry lion. China is buying Russian oil, gas and coal with their own currency the yuan. Then we have Brazil, Brazil has recently made a deal to buy Russian diesel. They have all ditched the dollar. Finally the stupid Europeans, they cannot get off the Russian oil addiction, but laughably went and sanctioned their gas supplier. Therefore Putin told them buy the gas in rubles or no gas for them. Lol, like obedient children they are buying Russian gas in Russian RUBLES! The euro and the almighty dollar is not being used. Lol.

With what you just wrote about defeating Russia and forcing OPEC to increase oil production, if I were Russia, I would close off the gas to Europe now, and cease oil sales immediately, so that Europe would go into an immediate free fall. There's no time like the present.

Those civilians are ethnic Russians and are happy to evacuate to Russia to save their lives. They see the Russians as liberating them from the brutal, Rusophobic Kiev regime.
